The Wall That Heals and static displays will be open 24 hours a day from July 13-16. There will be special ceremonies as follows on each of those days.

Thursday July 13, 2017 at 6:00 PM

Guest Speaker - Allen Lynch - This will be an amazing tribute to our veterans from Vietnam as no one truly know the selfless sacrifices made by our men and women in the military across the world like him. He is a Medal of Honor recipient from the Vietnam War. We are truly honored to have him as our guest speaker and click on the link to find out more.

Guest Speaker - Denise Meehan - She is a Gold Star Mother who lost her son in Iraq. The sacrifices and pain are not only felt with out men and women in uniform, but their family and friends as well. She is an amazing speaker talking on the value of service as well as the sacrifices made.

Guest Speaker - Colonel Larsen - He was with the Wall That Heals as our closing speaker in 1997 and 2007. With all his history with this amazing tribute he will help to bring closure to our event. We will be honored to have him.

Motorcycle/Motorcade Escort

The committee is planning to have a Motorcycle/Motorcade escort of the WALL from Yorkville, Illinois to Sycamore, Illinois on Wednesday, July 12th. Staging will be in Yorkville (Rte 47 & Rte 71) at 9:00am. Safety brief at 9:45am. Depart at 10:00am. The escort is for 2 wheelers, 3 wheelers and 4 wheelers and will travel through Yorkville, Plano, Sandwich, Waterman, DeKalb and Sycamore.
